    Role Overview

    The role of Sourcing Specialist – Order Fulfilment Specialist (Expeditor) is responsible for managing supplier schedules, purchase orders, and general reporting of supplier activities to ensure the scope of work is delivered safely, according to customers' quality requirements, on time.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensure timely delivery of orders with the right quality. Manage and monitor suppliers' manufacturing schedules and report progress updates to internal stakeholders.
    • Technical Procurement/Sourcing and Expediting. Support suppliers' product development and sourcing of maintenance spares and parts.
    • Coordinate engineering documentation required by suppliers with the engineering department. Ensure finance alignment on cash milestone recognition.
    • Coordinate commercial supplier inquiries and support technical inquiries between suppliers and the organization.
    • Participate in technical adjudication and negotiation of contracts (purchase orders). Provide inputs as required and support the quality team on nonconformance events.
    • Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems, leveraging technical skills and analytic thinking. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience in sourcing, planning, and supplier monitoring. A diploma or bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is preferred.
    • Technical/Engineering Diploma, Supply Chain Management Diploma, or Logistics Diploma is also acceptable.
    • At least 3-6 years of experience in an expediting role within supply chain/sourcing is necessary.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Supplier order fulfilment: on time delivery, in full delivery, and right quality.
    • Schedule management and reporting: manage and monitor suppliers' manufacturing schedules, report progress updates to internal stakeholders.
    • Risk management: identify and mitigate any risks associated with purchase orders that might affect projects and customers.
