A luxury hotel brand is in search of a Touring Consultant to join the team.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Quoting, managing and making tour operating bookings including flights, transfers, restaurant reservations, as well as accommodation bookings.
  • Help clients and agents identify the ideal travel itinerary based on their plans and requirements
  • Regularly maintain a good relationship with our clients and agents.
  • Provide all relevant and essential information to the clients regarding their travel.
  • Sell the appropriate tour package to the right client.
  • Negotiate any customisations or modifications requested and accommodate to the best level possible.
  • Resolve any problem that arises regarding the trip for the client.
  • Actively try to reach sales and revenue targets.
  • Stay up to date on domestic and international travel trends as well as products.
  • Respond to inquiries about our Company's services and offerings.
  • Make lodge reservations for FIT's and groups, prepare rate proposals and following up on the business to ensure revenue.
  • Assist with and maintain an efficient administration system within the department.
  • Reviewing, monitoring and revising guest service standards, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all quotations are followed up on a regular basis in order to ensure maximum revenue.
  • Creating and managing all travel logistics and file handling, including financial aspects.
  • Support the reservations team as well as provide afterhours coverage if required.
  • Assist with related duties as and when required by management.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Destination knowledge, including accommodation, transfers and flights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • The ability to work effectively in a pressurized environment.
  • The ability to work well within a team environment and without supervision.
  • Attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette and mannerisms are required.
  • Team and goalorientated.
