    Purpose of the Role

    The Retail Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the retail investment market within the Pretoria region. This key position involves promoting investment products, building strategic relationships, and driving market growth. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in the investment industry and a proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • We will be responsible for promoting and distributing our investment products to the retail market in the Pretoria region.
    • We will lead efforts to increase brand recognition and presence in the region.
    • We will develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including financial advisors, asset managers, and platform providers.
    • We will provide outstanding service to clients, potential investors, and stakeholders.
    • We will take initiative in promoting our offerings to the broader retail market.
    • We will work closely with other teams within the organization to enhance our brand and market positioning.
    • We will identify opportunities for strategic partnerships with other fund managers and financial institutions.

    Required Experience

    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with a strong network within the Pretoria region is required.
    • The candidate should have a solid understanding of the investment industry, including products, structures, and market dynamics.
    • The ability to understand and communicate complex investment management strategies is essential.
    • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and industry stakeholders is necessary.
    • Excellent presentation, writing, and influencing abilities are required.

    Required Qualifications

    • A completed degree in Commercial, Investment, Financial, or related field is essential. Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
    • Certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and/or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are preferred.

    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills are essential.
    • The ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively are required.

    Estimated Salary

    R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum
