Description

An established and rapidly expanding transport, logistics & software platform business based in Bellville, Cape Town is seeking to appoint an experienced Software Tester on a permanent basis to join their current software platform team.

Responsibilities

Evaluating and validating user stories, use cases, and requirement documents to ensure both clarity and practicality.
Engaging in collaborative efforts with peers across various departments to ensure cohesion and unity of purpose.
Performing comprehensive testing at all stages, including system, integration, and regression testing, to ensure robust software performance.
Creating and maintaining automated scripts as necessary to streamline the testing process.
Identifying, documenting, and tracking any discrepancies or defects in the software to ensure they are addressed promptly.
Providing efficient problem resolution to maintain project momentum and adherence to timelines.
Integrating quality engineering methodologies throughout the product development life cycle, especially within an Agile framework.
Generating and maintaining documentation and support materials to enhance product reliability and team reference.
Keeping uptodate with emerging industry technologies and methodologies to continuously improve personal expertise and the effectiveness of the testing process.
Investigating new tools and technologies with the potential to enhance operational workflows.
Focusing on both mobile and desktop environments as primary platforms for testing activities.
Conducting exploratory testing to uncover issues that structured testing may not reveal.
Analyzing potential risks and the impact of features to inform the development and testing strategies.

Requirements:

25 years' experience in a software testing or related role.
Experience with automation testing is advantageous.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with HHS EPLC is preferred.
Capable of working effectively in a fastpaced environment with little supervision.
A strong sense of ownership, pride in performance, and its impact on company success.

Good at managing time effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfort with agile development practices.
