The Candidate Attorney Programme

We provide law graduates with the opportunity to serve their practical vocational training with us over two years on our Candidate Attorney Programme.

This programme offers diverse development opportunities to help each candidate attorney become a valued member of our legal team. We cultivate the knowledge and skills of our people to support them in their careers.

Programme Overview

You will be based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town and rotate in various legal practice areas during the two-year period. This exposure to different legal disciplines provides invaluable legal training from top attorneys and respected legal practitioners.

In addition, you will participate in our in-house PLT Programme, preparing you for the Attorneys' Admission Examinations.

Eligibility Criteria

• South African citizen or permanent resident
• Studied or studying at a South African Institution or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA
• Expect to complete an LLB degree by 1 January 2027

• Academic transcripts of any undergraduate qualification and other relevant qualifications
• Matric certificate
• Copy of ID
