    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    The purpose of this role is to support the CTO and members of the Vodacom Technology Leadership Team in the successful delivery of our Group Technology strategy and annual targets.
    You will own the planning and successful delivery of the Technology Governance Calendar and Technology Reporting in line with Vodacom Technology Leadership, Vodacom Group ExCo, Vodafone Governance and Board Governance. As part of this you will ensure all submissions are being prepared and delivered by the respective stakeholders on time and of a high quality.
    As per business requirements and from time to time you will own and lead programmes as part of the wider Technology strategy roadmap yourself.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end planning and execution of the annual Technology governance calendar
  • Ensure governance compliance with Vodacom Group ExCo, Vodafone Technology Leadership and Board governance
  • Collaborate with Technology ExCo and extended Technology Leadership Team members as well as Vodacom Group ExCo and Vodafone Technology Leadership Team members in achieving all required deliverables
  • Prepare, lead, and report on company-wide Technology programmes as and when needed
  • Support the GCTO in successful delivery of our Vodacom Group Technology strategy
  • Work on specific CTO projects as identified and allocated to you
  • Act as point of reflection for the constant prioritisation of the CTO's agenda, both at a strategic level as well as on a day to day basis
  • Support the One Technology Team communications plan
  • Supervise and contribute to the delivery of presentations from the CTO Office
  • Provide people leadership of the Technology Leadership Team and the extended teams on behalf of the CTO Office

    • The Ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • University Degree /Master or MBA
  • English language at native speaker level

    • Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

  • Experience in driving value add process and governance to deliver effective business decision making
  • Experience in developing conceptual proposals, with deep business interlock and influencing at senior executive / SLT level
  • Ability of ruthless prioritisation of what really matters to the business
  • Ability to lead and influence stakeholders at different levels of hierarchy in a dynamic, high-growth, high-uncertainty environment with strong focus on real execution and getting results from others
  • Strong change leadership, communication, engagement, influencing and decision-making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests
