Our client is looking for an innovative Structural Designer to join their dynamic team. As a Structural Designer, you will play a key role in creating and developing unique packaging designs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and the internal team to understand packaging requirements.
• Generate innovative packaging concepts and designs.
• Use CAD software to create detailed structural designs for folding cartons.
• Conduct feasibility studies and ensure designs are technically feasible and cost-effective.
• Ensure compliance with industry and company standards for packaging design.
• Provide input on materials and production techniques for optimal packaging performance.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Conduct prototype testing and make necessary adjustments to designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging packaging technologies.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications and revisions.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop packaging graphics and branding elements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric qualification or equivalent.
• CAD Design Qualification is required.
• Experience in the structural design of folding cartons is advantageous.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
• Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
