A luxurious well known 4* Hotel in Cape Town is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their special team


DUTIES

  • Install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment.
  • Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Identify, locate, and operate all shutoff valves, andorder, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and purchase orders log, and Inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Enter and locate workrelated information using computers.
  • Operate power lift and complete the life safety checklist, including the firepump run test and generator run test and Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
  • Assist in development of disaster response protocols andrespond and attend to guest repair requests and, ensure that the utilities (water, electricity and fuel sources) are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure effective stock control procedures and methods are enforced and will ensure that the maintenance expense budget is achieved.
  • Continuously find ways to drive down costs of the Maintenance Department whilst maintaining the hotel with the required standards.
  • Ensure that all quotes received from contractors and suppliers are reasonably priced in terms of fair market value comparisons.
  • Asset management to ensure that all company assets are maintained in the best possible condition, specifically guest related elements.
  • Providing effective leadership through professional management and encouragement of all subordinates, including mediation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • A minimum of + 4 years' experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Knowledge and certificates in Electrical would be an added advantage.
  • Exposure and knowledge of hotel aircons, plumbing would be a plus.
  • Previous hospitality background would be an advantage
  • Understanding on infrastructure and equipment
  • Inspections and routine maintenance
  • OHS background
  • Computer Literacy
