Purpose of the Job:


To provide a stable SAP system that will enable the business to make strategic decisions and improve operational efficiencies by supporting and analysing business requirements through implementing solutions aligned with best practices underlying SAP.


Who You Are:


  • You can analyse business requirements, designing system solutions, configuring SAP, execute unit testing, integration and user acceptance testing to meet business requirements which are aligned with SAP best business practices without compromising on service.
  • You are able to manage and resolve defects logged by the business within defined Service Level Agreements
  • You are able to manage the systems and data by contributing to the administration of backup and recovery, security, and capacity planning.
  • You are able to document business solutions, compile enduser guides/manuals, providing input to training material and standard business processes.
  • You are able and skilled to demonstrate a change mindset as well as plan, execute and monitor activities during times of change whilst a consistent level of performance.

What You'll have done before:


Baseline:

  • NQF Level 7 (B.Comm, B.Sc or any IT related tertiary qualifications)
  • 2+ years' experience with Activate / ASAP methodology.
  • 3+ years' experience with Solution Manager

Advantageous:

  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) APICS accreditation
  • SAP certification in at least 1 SAP module
  • SAP Oil and Gas experience
  • Experience with Engen's SAP release level.
  • Experience with SAP Enterprise Support tools (e.g. Innovation Discovery, value maps)

  • Assist business with defining requirements and planning solutions to create efficiencies.
  • Crossskilling and knowledge sharing with resources in the SAP HR team
  • Involvement in implementation of future projects requested by the business.

What You'll be doing:


  • Analyse, design, develop and implement SAP solutions according to Activate methodology and Engen policies by analysing business requirements, designing system solutions, configuring SAP, executing unit, integration and user acceptance testing to meet business requirements which are aligned with SAP best business practices without compromising on service.
  • Improve business systems by using the Business Process Monitoring tool in Solution manager to monitor business process health, identify inefficient processes, analyse root causes and implement enhanced and standard SAP solutions to achieve Engen's strategic objectives.
  • Manage systems and data by contributing to the administration of backup and recovery, security and capacity planning with the use of Data Volume Management tools to trigger the archiving process with which data base growth is monitored to maintain optimized systems that deliver accurate and timely information.
  • Share knowledge by documenting business solutions, compile enduser guides/manuals, providing input to training material and standard business processes/procedures, train trainers, coordinators and keyusers to increase business and systems knowhow / proficiency and nurture a skilled workforce.
