Requirements:


  • A relevant B Tech or First Degree qualification (e.g. Landscape
Architecture, Landscape Management, Horticulture, Built

Environment, relevant to the Facility Management discipline.

  • 8 years' relevant experience at an appropriate level in a facility
management environment, with well-developed project

management skills, sound knowledge of relevant legislation and

  • At least five (5) years' appropriate supervisory experience.
  • Relevant experience in a contract management environment in
local/government will be advantageous

  • Relevant experience in a supply chain management demand
planning environment will be advantageous.

  • Prepared to work weekends and public holidays
  • Must be physically fit.
  • A valid code B/EB drivers' licence and availability of own motor
vehicle.

Key Performance Areas

  • Manage the human, physical and financial resources for the
development of effective environmental, cultural, creative,

educational, recreational and event services at the Green Point

Park, Green Point Athletic Stadium and any other assets of the

portfolio.

  • Participate in the development of the annual business plan;
investigating best practices through benchmarking and analysis;
implement service delivery maintenance schedules; ensuring

retail, commercial and event spaces are well maintained;
managing on-site staff; manage the need for external service

providers; oversee development and implementation of

biodiversity garden; implement water demand initiatives;
reporting to the technical committee.

  • Facilitation of projects and visitor services
  • Supervise public interface functions
  • Customer relationship management, by liaising with stakeholders
and assisting the manager with information on building

maintenance and networks with service providers.
