    Learning and Development Consultant

    This is a 24-month fixed-term position.

    The Learning and Development Consultant will contribute to the high standard of development and growth of Glacier employees by designing, developing and implementing blended learning solutions and applying best-practice methodologies, practices and standards.

    Key Outcomes:

    • Liaise with different stakeholders to ascertain the different training needs of the business Operations and Technology, Finance, Change Management and Business Development Teams.
    • Develop, compile and maintain training manuals, records and support materials as needs arise, ensuring that material remains current and relevant.
    • Create, schedule and deliver training programmes focused on adult learning methods based on employee needs, business priorities and best practices suitable for a hybrid working environment.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training by deploying measurement and feedback tools that track outcomes and ensure alignment of objectives.
    • Develop a training plan that clearly shows training initiatives.
    • Utilize online e-learning tools for training purposes.
    • Provide feedback on learning to managers and employees.
    • Provide technical support and expertise through query resolution in support of the business in overall development of employees.
    • Adhere to organizational best practices and legislative requirements (Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act).
    • Build and maintain relationships with relevant departments to ensure sufficient knowledge of related Glacier products, processes, legislations and regulatory frameworks.
    • Provide efficient and effective coaching to staff.
    • Schedule and arrange training interventions according to business plan and training needs identified.
    • Coordinate and facilitate technical training courses regarding product, process & system knowledge and skills.
    • Coordinate the internal bursary process by acting as a liaison between the leadership team and employees, ensuring a seamless communication process, facilitating bursary payments and tracking records.
    • Provide training on technical legal aspects of products and industry-related legal issues.
    • Prepare internal and external candidates for FAIS regulatory exams.
    • Provide support with regard to new projects and technology.
    • Conduct assessments of learners and evaluation instruments.
    • Provide continuous support through query resolution.
    • Comply with regulatory requirements i.e. Skills Development Act (NQF).

    Qualifications and Experience

    • 5+ years relevant business experience and product knowledge within a LISP.
    • 5+ years experience in development of learning material and facilitating of training interventions.
    • Higher Certificate in Occupational Directed Education as Training Practitioner (NQF L5) would be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of legislation i.e. FICA, FAIS, FATCA, OECD and PDD.
    • 3+ years E-learning development experience.
    • Previous or current training related experience in a Client Services environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
