We have a position that has come available for a Strategic Insights Associate with a Global FMCG that offers a lot of opportunities for growth and development.

Are you passionate about insights and marketing? Then we have the perfect role for you. We are looking for an ambitious Strategic Insights Associate to join the Strategy & Insights team.


The Strategic Insights Associate will be working closely with the Strategic Insights Manager and is responsible for delivering comprehensive global and local business, consumer and industry insights across the SEA Cluster of markets in order to drive business strategies.

Offering support to the strategic planning team, as well as administration and Data reporting, Retail Audits, Consumer Tracking Studies, Research Projects and Incidence Data Studies.

Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to develop business intelligence platforms that provide consistent, reliable and working data that can be used across departments and aligned to global strategic insight requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities


Global/local tracking and reporting


Facilitate and work closely with Global Regional and Portfolio Strategy Teams on best practice research tools, audit and market models to support local business KPI tracking and brand performance that is aligned to the global principles and includes value added global insights.

Deliver monthly reporting requirements across all markets within the cluster including key KPI (Volume, SOM) as well as tracking of Strategic Initiates, competitor growth and supporting brand boards.

Deliver on global reporting requirements and ad hoc requests.


Analytics
Regular reporting and Maintenance and enhancement

Enhance and maintain reporting system, to ensure regular delivery of KPI monitoring based on agreed schedule with high levels of accuracy

Control timely and accurate refresh of manual input sources as well as planned automatic procedures.

Ensure proper matching of multiple data sources.

Develop and schedule a validation procedure to catch outliers for further cleansing data or fix gathering data procedures

Look for ways of reporting improvement in terms of timings and granularity via automization of procedures and data normalization

Measurement, analysis and reporting of key metrics, assist in developing optimized reports that can be used across departments.


Use analytics and customer insights to understand the performance of products and use data and analytics to inform discissions around products.

Ensure integrity of data is maintained and is received at a consistent high level

Ensure accessibility of One Data platform across department


Consumer Research


Conducting research on consumer behaviour, preferences, and trends to identify key insights on key brand objectives, portfolio white spaces consumer insights and segmentation and presenting findings to the team.


Agency Management


Assume responsibility for Nielson related reports, deliverables and documents including monthly reports, internal requests, and ad hoc regional/HQ support and payment process.

Ensure timely execution of enquiries and work closely with the vendor to continuously optimize deliverables, act a main point of contact to the market, region and HQ.


Strategy Development
Support strategic planning process during key business periods, business reviews, tactical strategic planning and annual strategic plan development. Cross functional integration support. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop business strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Degree in Data Science, Economics, Business Management, Marketing or related with strong analytical or statistical content.
  • 23 years of experience in a market analysis and research role, within FMCG Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, and/or Sales Functions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power BI, Nielsen and Advanced Excel (Essential)
  • High level of skills in Data Analytics.
