Qualifications:
Graduate B Comm or Marketing qualification


Experience:
8 years' experience in related industries in FMCG or similar industries


Responsibilities:


  • Set up category merchandising & pricing standards by channel
  • Listing of company and New Product Development with all major accounts
  • Managing the relationship through a collaborative partnership between all Key Accounts, Distributors and Agents
  • Effective Implementation of Sales forecast by account by region through formulating a profitable sales plan by period to meet sales targets and promotional objectives
  • Understanding the customer's needs and delivering a sales agenda and marketing plan that is mutually beneficial to both for long term sustainable business
  • Team leadership (newly appointed sales agents) with focus on capability development through assessing what knowledge and skills is required through ongoing classroom and in trade training
  • Managing of trade marketing costs rebate, trade spend, discounts, damages, pricing claims and Real-Time Strategy
  • Work in close association with the Marketing plan to ensure the budgets for sales for the regions are set and met (by product, customer, and Agent)
  • Conducts regular field trips with the Agents' sales force, covering the trade to monitor the quality of the selling and merchandising effort provided. As well as to provide the necessary guidance and training to achieve the overall company implementation plan by account
  • Keep agents up to date with the sales and marketing activities of the company as well as the related performance against
  • Performance vs sales budget (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Performance vs marketing budget and the utilisation of this vs the agreed plan
  • Negotiates channel listings for brands
  • Ensures that the overall relationship with the customer remains on good terms by:
  • Keeping tabs on any major customer claims and ensuring that the relevant department at company handles these speedily and efficiently
  • Conduct regular store visits regionally to ensure that what has been agreed to by Buyer has been actioned at store level
  • Ensures that trading costs by responsible accounts is tightly controlled, thereby ensuring that the budgeted contributions are achieved
  • Motivate and discipline of Sales Agents
  • Promotions and driving business agenda
  • Manage product / area profitability
  • Review area requirements, expectations, against these regularly

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
R1,000, R1,200,000.00 per year

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
