    Main Purpose of Job

    To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
    2. Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
    3. Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
    4. Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
    5. Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
    6. Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

    Required Education

    Essential Education: Degree/Diploma in General Nursing.

    Desired Education: Midwifery; Post-graduate certificate/diploma in relevant specialty area.

    Required Experience

    Essential Minimum Experience: 1 year post graduate qualification experience.

    Desired Experience: 3 years' post graduate qualification experience.

    Required Skills and Knowledge

    • Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards).
    • Develop/modify a nursing care plan.
    • Infection prevention and control.
    • Nursing processes and procedures.
    • Pharmacology.
    • Scientific nursing principles and process.
