    The Role of a Financial Adviser

    A financial adviser must embody professionalism, integrity, and a customer-centric approach, earning the respect and trust of customers who entrust their financial futures to them.

    This role demands formal training, completion of regulatory exams, accreditation with the Financial Services Regulatory authority, and continuous professional development.

    As an accredited financial adviser with Old Mutual, you will represent our values – Integrity, Professionalism, Customer-first, Advice-led – that have guided us for over 175 years.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide tailored financial advice aligned with customers' resources and goals to secure positive financial futures and protect assets and estates.
    • Offer proactive, on-demand financial services and advice to customers within your allocated market segments.
    • Maintain superior service delivery to customers through effective time and task management.
    • Continuously develop your skills through accredited courses and programmes.
    • Understand customers' personal and financial circumstances, goals, and dreams to provide relevant advice.

    Requirements

    • A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
    • FAIS compliance.
    • RE5 an advantage.
    • A valid Driver's licence and own car.
    • A clear criminal and credit check.
    • A minimum of 3 years working experience (preferably in sales).
    • Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite).
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
