VACANCY:
FLEET COORDINATOR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Incumbent will oversee Fleet, Assets and Fleet Team Leaders based in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo (Polokwane)


Location:
Gauteng (Kempton Park)


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet.
  • Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Managing vehicle license and registration.
  • Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress.
  • Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.
  • Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
  • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
  • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
  • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with Department of Transport laws and regulations.
  • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Ensure health and safety measures are always adhered to.

  • Knowledge in OHS Regulations standards in crane operations.

Key Requirements Include:


  • Relevant Diploma in Logistics, or a related field. NQF 2 or more years' experience in the transport industry.
  • Valid Crane Operator Certification.
  • Code 14 Driver's License.
  • Must be proficient in English.

Job Type:
Temporary

Contract length: 12 months


Pay:
R30, R35,000.00 per month

  • Kempton Park, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
