    Job Title: Special Education Teacher

    We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at the American International School of Johannesburg. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse needs.

    About the Role:

    • This position involves teaching and supporting students in grades 6-12 who require special education services.
    • The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
    • A strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment is essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To plan, deliver, and assess lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
    • To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs).
    • To communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student progress.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Licenses or certifications in Special Education.
    • At least 2 years of experience teaching in a similar role.

    Salary and Benefits:

    We offer a competitive salary of approximately R450,000 - R550,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid leave.
