A leading packaging manufacturer is looking for a Flexographic Printing Press Machine Operator.

Duties and responsibilities:
The job duties of a flexographic printing press operator focus on running a Flexographic or Flexo printer.

Your responsibilities include operating your machine during each printing run, inspecting products to ensure quality and verify that the printed materials meet the requirements of each job order.

You are responsible for printer setup before each printing run, and adjusting the printing press during the job if necessary

Maintaining the rollers and materials, read and interpret job tickets and specifications, input the correct settings, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during the operation of the Flexo printing machine

Essential functions and responsibilities

Attention to detail
Teamwork and communication skills
Set up, adjust, maintain and operate flexographic press
Install Anilox rollers, plates. inks and dies into proper stations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality of production
Identify and ensure that proper materials are used for production
Inspect plates and equipment before each print run
Ensure that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition
Produce up to 8 colour printed rolls in correct quantity and to the highest quality standards
Understands all documents related to the printing process, and adhere to specification requirements
Demonstrate colour matching expertise and adjust inks as needed.
Check for colour and registration and request approval as required
Complete proper quality checking of production and raw materials
Locate defects on printed products.
Check for conformance to specifications.
Adjust as necessary.
Provide leadership and train crew members on all processes
Maintain cleanliness of machines/equipment and adjacent work area to ISO standards.
Report quality issues to Production Manager for analysis and/or remedy
Report all Food Safety Violations to management
