Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 and Trade tested Fitter & Turner
3+ years relevant experience in the manufacturing industry
Willing to work overtime and shifts when required
Hyster license preferred

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out
Reports call outs, breakdowns, workshop orders / safety orders
Carry out development projects, modifications, additions, and alterations to existing plant
Adherence to OHS Act and ISO standards
Carry out annual shutdown maintenance to plant and machinery
Handle lubrication, steam installations, heat exchanges, and repairs on pneumatic systems
Welding of mild steel and flame cutting
Repairs on transmissions and drive gearboxes
Fitting / replacing belt clipjoints and replacing belts
Change blades and carry out hydraulic / pneumatic repairs
Boiler / plant start ups
Die tool assembly and overhaul
Manufacture / repair machine parts and spares on the lathe and milling machines

Salary:
R R per month basic
