    Supply Chain Projects Manager

    Umhlanga seeks a Supply Chain Projects Manager to lead Supply Chain projects from concept to implementation, providing analysis and management reporting to support decision-making and drive efficiencies and growth.

    • Lead Supply Chain projects from concept to implementation and provide analysis and management reporting to support decision-making and create transparency to drive efficiencies and growth.
    • Support the Supply Chain function to ensure execution of related operational processes and continuously improve the ways of working.
    • Establish new ways of working to align with future needs of the management unit.
    • Build and establish collaboration and exchange with all related functions within the company.

    This is an EE position, preference will be given to African and Coloured applicants.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Work with Supply Chain leads to drive a pipeline of cost-saving initiatives.
    • Implement system enhancements to drive automation and embrace digitalization.
    • Continuously enhance processes to ensure a supply chain that is fit for purpose.
    • Support Tenders.
    • Manage projects from inception to execution within the Supply Chain space.
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis in support of supply chain management decision-making.
    • Lead supply chain continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Engage in dialogue internally and externally to understand enhancements and opportunities for improvement.
    • Support in the development and implementation of corrective actions.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, or Other Sciences.
    • 7 years' experience in FMCG.
    • Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain, Lean Methodologies, or similar.
    • Experience in project-based roles, with strong analytical capabilities.
    • End-user skills in SAP Supply Chain modules.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Supply Chain principles and practices, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. They will also possess strong project management skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

    The role requires a self-motivated and proactive individual who can take initiative and drive results. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering results-oriented projects and improving business processes.
