A well established Logistics company based in Kempton Park, that operates throughout Sub-Saharan African is looking a Logistics Controller to join their Team.

This role encompasses supply chain management, customer service, budgeting, and ensuring the punctual and precise delivery of goods.

The Logistics Controller must effectively manage multiple transportation modes to guarantee smooth operations and maintain open lines of communication with the warehouse and other logistics stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

Logistics Diploma / Certificate
1 years minimum experience in logistics, administration or sales experience
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Customer Service skills
Budgeting skills
Ability to work under pressure
Attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management:

Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and vendors to maintain a seamless supply chain.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishments to meet demand.
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Customer Service:

Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
Ensure high-quality service and address customer issues promptly and professionally.
Foster positive customer relationships through effective communication.

Budgeting:

Develop and manage logistics budgets in alignment with company financial objectives.
Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures.
Provide regular budget performance reports to management.

Transportation Management:

Coordinate the transportation of goods using various modes (road, rail, air, sea).
Schedule and track shipments to ensure on-time deliveries.
Address transportation challenges and resolve issues as they arise.

Stakeholder Liaison:

Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient loading and unloading of shipments.
Communicate with carriers and logistics partners to maintain smooth operations.
Build and nurture relationships with key logistics stakeholders.
