Our client a leading retail and wholesale hardware store in South Africa is looking to employ a creditors clerk for their finance department to commence their duties soonest.


Job Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Process and reconcile invoices using Pastel accounting software.
  • Verify and match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Code and capture invoices, allocating them to relevant general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare payment schedules and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing activities.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and contact information.
  • Assist with adhoc financial and administrative tasks.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Creditors Clerk or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Pastel accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance
