    Description:

    You will be responsible for learning and leveraging various cloud technologies to support our customers. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will act as the Cloud Ambassador across AWS products, providing required tools and tactics to scale customer impact in world-wide markets.

    This role supports services that focus on Containerization including Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registry (ECR), Fargate, App Mesh, Batch. Engineers interact with customers via email, chat or phone, helping them automate management, scaling and deployment of containerized applications.

    Apart from working on technical issues, you may also coach/mentor new hires, develop and present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact-deflection initiatives, participate in hiring, write tools and scripts to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvements and strategic initiatives.

    The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. They partner with a global list of customers building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Solve customer cases through contact channels, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques and working with them to identify root causes.
    2. Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience.
    3. Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements and work on critical customer problems spanning multiple AWS services.
    4. Continuously learn new technologies and develop professional competencies.
    5. Act as an interviewer in hiring processes and coach/mentor new team members.

    About the Team:

    AWS Support Engineering is a customer-facing global organization providing technical support. You will assist a global list of companies and developers using AWS services and features to run mission-critical applications.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 1+ years software development and 2+ years technical support experience
    • Troubleshooting and debugging experience with technical systems
    • Experience with container orchestration management tools like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
    • BASIC understanding of Linux, networking concepts and protocols

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of application deployment pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes
    • Experience with Iac (Terraform, CDK, Cloudformation)
    • Scripting language knowledge or experience
    • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and/or experience with cloud platforms
