    Job Description

    The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the processing and administration of payroll.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Full payroll function, including application for tax directives and completion of statutory returns and handling of statutory payments.
    • Completing IRP 501 recons and year-end on Easyfile.
    • Dealing with staff queries, garnishees & maintenance orders.
    • Handling administration of medical aid, provident and funeral funds.
    • Capturing employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions.
    • Reconciliations of medical aid, provident and other third-party payments.
    • Importing data and checking payroll variances.
    • Preparing payroll files for finance and producing reports for month-end.
    • Filing & scanning.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Completed Matric (Grade 12).
    • Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll preferred.

    Job Requirements and Skills

    • 4 to 5 years' experience in a Payroll Administrator position essential.
    • Sage 300 People working knowledge.
    • ESSENTIAL Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns.
    • Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential.
    • Proficient in MS packages.
    • Deadline driven.
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
    • Team player.

    Estimated Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
