Requirements:

BSc/BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering (from an approved

ECSA accredited institution)

Registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA
Minimum of 5 years' experience in High Voltage and Medium

Voltage engineering.

Knowledge of utility size power system modelling and analysis.
High degree of computer literacy
Linux and MS Server experience
Knowledge of power system State Estimation methods and

analysis/optimisation tools.

Knowledge of project methodology
Knowledge of tenders and contract management.
Must be available outside of normal working hours to attend to

and direct emergency work as well as be available for

standby duties

Key Performance Areas

Engineer, configure, Implement and maintain the various

components of the electrical network control system,

including SCADA/EMS/GMS and ADMS systems.

Manage the portfolio of ADMS projects to minimise overlap

and co-ordinate project inter-dependencies and

cross-cutting impacts, schedule and participate in regular

project reviews and inter-disciplinary checks and evaluate

the feasibility of project proposals and assign resources

top projects

Develop ADMS reporting and data manipulation tools and systems.
Mentor staff by coordinating training on aspects of the

ADMS system and provide guidance on how to initiate,

execute and document ADMS projects
