Junior Draughtsman - Cape Town - West Coast Personnel

Description

Your role as a Junior Drafter involves several key areas of responsibility, including:

1. Planning and facilitating the output and delivery of the Drafting Division according to priorities and needs.

2. Ensuring full technical drawing requirements are met, including design drawings based on RFQs received from customers, with updates made as required.

3. Coordinating construction drawings and As-built Drawings during the design and implementation phases of projects, ensuring timely updates.

4. Preparing comprehensive Bills of Materials and working closely with designers/engineers on various systems, including fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems.

5. Maintaining high-quality standards for all drawings and providing accurate feedback on progress, changes, or completion to project stakeholders.

6. Managing folders of drawings on the server, ensuring efficient access, revision control, and deletion of obsolete copies.

7. Ensuring drawings/plans agree with service reports, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues with the serviceman.

8. Converting drawings into readable formats for employee access and participating in Systems Production Meetings to improve workflow processes.

9. Training and guiding junior draftsmen and technicians.
