Travel Consultant - Cape Town, South Africa - Ascot Tours

We are seeking a Travel Consultant with a strong passion for travel. You will create and book clients' travel plans through Southern and Eastern Africa. Your objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by creating once-in-a-lifetime holidays and acquiring a growing, loyal clientele.


Responsibilities:

• Investigate the pricing, customs, weather, and reviews of various trip destinations and modes of transportation.
• Analyze clients' needs and desires and provide relevant travel packages.
• Organize trip from beginning to end, including arranging tickets and lodging, reserving rental vehicles, etc.
• Provide passengers with relevant information and travel/holiday materials (guides, maps, event programs etc.)
• Acquire deposits and balances.
• Handle unanticipated issues and complaints timeously and professionally.
• Keep financial statements and documents
• Attain the sales and profit objectives
• Proven track record as a Travel Consultant with at least five years experience
• Excellent understanding of excel cost sheets and google workspace
• English proficiency is required; additional language skills are a plus.
• Excellent sales abilities and a customercentric mindset.
• Understanding of Golf Travel and Safari Travel essential
• Effectiveness in presenting, persuading, and communicating
• Demonstrable crisis management skills
• Home office with reliable computer, internet and power backup

Requirements:

This position is only for experienced consultants with a proven background working for inbound tour operators in South or Eastern Africa.

Remuneration will be based on experience and include a market-related basic and generous commission.
