Description
Job responsibilities:
- Processing of Customs Clearances (Road / Rail, Imports / Exports / RIB / RIT)
- Processing of Exbond Entries (XDP / XIB / XE)
- Road Bond and Acquittal Management
- Cargo Tracking / Delivery Scheduling
- Keep Principals updated daily and ensure deadlines are met
- Liaise with all Service Providers, Principals and Transporters on an ongoing basis
- Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures
Specific Requirements/Additional information
- Matric
- 2year Customs related qualification at NQF level Computer Literacy
- 5 years Import/Customs experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry
- 2 years' experience in a Customs framing entry capacity (including cross border, bonded cargo clearances)
- Shows initiative
- Tariff Classification and Tariff calculation concepts
- Knowledge of INCO Terms
- Applicable sections of Import and Export Control Act
- Knowledge of all relevant Acts
- Basic International Trade Principles
- International currencies and Country Codes
- Ability to frame Customs Import and Export documents on CompuClearing and/or Shipshape

- High School (matric) (preferred)
Experience:
- Import and Export: 5 years (required)
