Scope
The workshop millwright will be responsible for in-workshop services that include but is not limited to;

  • Maintenance and repairs on all types of pumps
  • Repairs to electrical panels

Purpose


Expertly execute all tasks assigned related to repairs and maintenance of customer equipment received into the main workshop at the company in Kempton Park.

Deliver above average service levels and workmanship through contributing to continuous improvement and customer success.


Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified Millwright with 5 10 years' experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate and proficient in the MS office suite of programs

Additional Duties and Requirements

  • Strip, assess, assemble and complete inspection and testing prior to dispatch of customer pumps and equipment
  • Compile assessment / failure reports
  • Maintain all relevant documentation and reports for work undertaken, consistent with company policies and quality assurance procedures and for maintaining and conforms to all necessary ESH requirements.
  • Checking stock, unloading deliveries and checking equipment received.
  • Maintain working in accordance with acceptable standards of housekeeping
  • Demonstrable ability to identify, locate and repair faults in electrical control equipment
  • Ability to service electric motors and submersible pumps.
  • Precisely assess the equipment for repair according to workshop manuals, parts lists and best working and engineering practices
  • Be prepared to participate, if required, in a rostered after hours emergency callout system.
  • Receive and sign in repair and service work orders for products and ensure panels are correctly identified prior to assessment and quoting.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to management on workshop and product related issues, both orally and in writing where required.
  • Maintain the shop in an environmentally safe and organized manner & ensure equipment & tools are maintained and used to standards required.
  • Participate in branch meetings and provide input on workshop activities.
  • Actively participate in audits for QA and ESH systems and practices.
