Why you? The Assistant:

Communications **supports the operations of the WCPP by contributing to the delivery of the Stakeholder Management and Communication Services section.


What will you be doing?

Assistant:
Communications
will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and controlling of promotional items and marketing material stores.
  • Receiving, counting, recording and issuing of stock.
  • Assisting with stock takes of promotional items and marketing material stores.
  • Maintaining control over stock allocations for 50 users.
  • Maintaining accurate records/evidence of all transactions for audit purposes.
  • Assisting with guided tours.
  • Administration, coordination and tracking of procurementrelated matters for the section.
  • Assisting with official events.
  • Maintaining filing system and evidence records.

To be considered you need to have, as a minimum:

  • Grade 1
  • Proven computer skills (MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel).
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with stores and stock management.
  • Minimum of two years' experience of records management administration.
  • Experience of the OpenText Electronic Content Management System or Microsoft OneDrive would be advantageous.
  • Experience or sound knowledge of government procurement processes would be advantageous.

In addition, you will be a great fit if you have an in-depth understanding and knowledge
of the following:

  • Stock control/store administration and control.
  • Numerical skills (simple calculations, percentages, average costing).
  • Organisational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes.
  • Office administration skills.
