Job Title: Senior Financial Professional

The ideal candidate will lead financial strategy and advisory, technical accounting, financial reporting & compliance, client relationship management, and team leadership for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Advisory:

Develop accounting strategies aligned with client business objectives.
Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.
Support on technical issues related to financial and management accounts, including variance/trend analysis and key driver identification.

Technical Accounting:

Interpret and apply complex accounting standards for accurate financial reporting.
Lead accounting policy development and ensure correct application of accounting treatments in client projects.
Provide guidance on advanced technical accounting matters and prepare position papers for clients and internal stakeholders.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Oversee financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting for clients.
Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and tax regulations.
Stay informed on financial standards and regulatory updates by participating in training and workshops.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for accounting-related needs.
Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and deliver customized solutions.
Manage client engagements, ensuring timely delivery and high client satisfaction.

Team Leadership:

Mentor junior staff and accounting specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Lead accounting teams on client projects, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 5+ years in a senior finance role.
Demonstrated experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of South African financial regulations.

Salary Range:

R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
