    Description

    Job Title: Security Officer

    Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum

    Duties:

    • Identify and assess exposures and risks to assets and interests.
    • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of physical security measures to ensure their effectiveness.
    • Respond promptly to and investigate incidents and complaints in a professional and unbiased manner.
    • Be available on an as-needed basis, including irregular hours, to ensure the continued safety and security of company assets and personnel.
    • Prepare and compile detailed reports of accidents, incidents, and investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Generate summaries of vehicle use, hours worked, weekly, and monthly reports as required by management.
    • Handle all customer enquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Assist with CCTV investigations as necessary, working closely with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure that incidents are thoroughly investigated and perpetrators brought to justice.
    • Disseminate and file all reports in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Participate in standby rotations as part of our comprehensive security protocol.
    • Process invoices for security-related expenses in accordance with company financial procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of Workplace Cover Authority (WCA) documentation.
    • Up hold high standards of professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, customers, and the public.
    • Support operational functions as required, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and duties.
    • Closely adhere to the company's Standard Operating Procedures regarding dress code and maintain exceptional housekeeping standards at all times.
    • Ensure that Health and Safety protocols are consistently upheld throughout the workday.

    Requirements:

    • A Matric qualification or equivalent.
    • A minimum of two years' relevant experience in a similar role.
    • Secretarial qualification and/or related certification.
    • Previous experience in security or investigative work is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in computer software applications and technology.
    • A valid driver's license and passport are essential for travel and mobility purposes.
