JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation project accounting and control. Providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards to Auditing functions.

To also assist in ensuring that revenue is maximised through identification and exploitation of new business opportunities and the retention of existing business.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Leadership and Co-ordination

  • Provides leadership and direction to the Project Managers and the teams.
  • Ensures that staff operate as an efficient, motivated team. Acts as a Coach and Mentor to direct reports.
  • Establishes clear lines of communication within the function and the rest of the business, always. Putting training and development plans in place for staff.

Financial Management

  • Provides input into the Function's annual budget. Monitors costs, disbursements, and overhead expenditure.
  • Ensures that invoices are submitted to clients timeously.
  • Monitors Debtors book regularly and reports to Executive: Operations. Manages staff billing and completion of timesheets.

Project Management

  • Oversees projects from start to finish.
  • Provides input into Tenders and Proposals.
  • Charts out project objectives, plans and schedules, sets performance requirements, and selects project participants.

Operations

  • Ability to develop and implement Risk Based Internal Audit Plans, preparation of reports and communication to relevant management and executive authority committees.

Business Development

  • Constantly seeks and identifies business opportunities.
  • Assists with developing marketing plans and sales strategies.

Auditing

  • Conducts risk assessments of assigned departments or functional areas in established/required timeline.
  • Examines organizational accounts and financial control systems.
  • Ensures that assets are safeguarded.
  • Prepares reports, commentaries, and financial statements.

Quality Control

  • Development and implementation of an audit quality control system to ensure globally accepted internal audit standards and departmental quality objectives are achieved.

Client Liaison

  • Ensures that a high priority is placed on customer satisfaction and liaises with clients regularly.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have completed articles;
    8 years, of which 3 *years in Management.
  • Extensive exposure to the Public Sector
  • Proven track record in Auditing, registered with the institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management, COSO Framework, GRAP, IFRS, PFMA, MFMA and Treasury Regulations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BCom Internal Auditing/Accounting/Finance/Commercial Related
  • CIA

Job Types:

Salary:
R40, R42,000.00 per month
