Job & Company Description:

A diversified Property development company based in Durban are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Contracts Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish as well as liaise with Clients.

Qualification:
Degree in Construction Management or Project Management

SACPCMP Certification and/or

PRCPM registration

Experience and Skills Required:

Minimum of 10 years post qualifying experience managing construction projects in the industrial sector
Experience with projects >R250 million is preferrable
Leadership and management skills
Ability to problem solve
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective communication skills verbal and written

Key deliverables:

Liaising with engineers, architects, site construction teams and group procurement to finalise project scope and timelines
Coordinating the various disciplines to ensure project remains on time and within budget
Effective implementation and management of budgets
Ability to forecast cost, budget and program
Effective monitoring of construction program
Implementation and monitoring of quality standards
Monitoring and management of resources and materials
Ensure adherence to construction procedures and methodologies
Produce and present reports on project program, production planned vs actual, material and resource usage, procurement timelines and requirements, variation orders
Experience in construction procurement and monitoring lead times to meet construction program
Liaising with the HSE teams to ensure compliance on the various sites
Liaising with Clients
