System Architect ICT ~ Aviation

Sandton - Gauteng - South Africa

Seeking a Talented System Architect to Revolutionize Travel Security in South Africa.

You will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing a cutting-edge solution that ensures the safety, convenience, and privacy of travellers while strengthening border security for South African airports.

You will collaborate closely with the company and the project team to analyze customer needs and translate them into a comprehensive and efficient solution/system.

You will be an integral part of the project team and will have the chance to engage in various phases of system testing.

The working model for this role is Hybrid, with regular trips to South Africa (a few days to a week per month) required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Prior experience in systems engineering.
Familiarity with the aviation ICT ecosystem.
Proficiency in system modelling using tools like POLARION, SPARX, and Doors.
A curious and collaborative team player to work effectively in an international setting.
Experience in solution architecture.
Knowledge of security technologies such as PKI, certificates, firewalls, and IT infrastructure like OS (Windows, Linux, Unix), virtualized environments, networks, high availability, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.
Excellent communication skills to engage with client management and technical teams while maintaining professional relationships.
