Job Overview:

Must be able to Manufacture and repair Subs, plates and covers, water jacket pipes, liftin lugs etc.


Key Job Responsibilities:


  • Must be able to read drawings, take measurements and assemble components as per PD pack requirements.
  • Must be able to Manufacture and repair Subs, plates and covers, water jacket pipes, liftin lugs etc.
  • Gouge off and remove components in accordance to drawing specifications.
  • Weld components in accordance to drawing specifications.
  • Must have informed metallurgical knowledge of the different material properties.
  • Must be able to determine the appropriate welding and boiler making method based on job requirements.
  • Operate angle grinders to ensure a clean surface and prepare for welding.
  • Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.
  • Understand and implement company's safety standards and adhere to zero harm principles.
  • Must adhere to KMC quality standards.
  • Communicate any hazards observed.
  • Check for gas leaks in accordance with risk assessments done before using any welding equipment.
  • Responsible for 6S within specified work area

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Boilermaker trade test
  • Minimum of 35 years boilermaker experience
  • Must be able to use a cutting torch and other power tools
