REQUIREMENTS

  • Young Affirmative Action South African Citizen, currently residing in Johannesburg
  • National Diploma/ Degree (Bachelor of Commerce, Purchasing, Bachelor of Engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years' indirect buying experience (particularly of indirect materials, machinery and equipment, goods and services)
  • Code B drivers license
  • MS Office and SAP computer literacy
  • Knowlege and use of MRP and Material Master
  • Able to read simple drawings
  • B-BBEE procurement and enterprise development knowledge
  • Able to travel nationally and internationally
  • Able to work overtime as required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procure indirect materials, machinery and equipment, goods and services
  • Indirect material cost optimization (ICO) and continuous improvement
  • Negotiate and mitigate supplier commercial threats
  • Material performance reporting
  • Support stakeholder needs
  • Support activities relating to indirect procurement sourcing table
  • Maintain status reports to ensure accurate uptodate data
  • Support Indirect Procurement Manager with activities as required
  • Report out to leadership on status of initiatives through indirect cost optimization review meetings
  • Support and drive supplier transformation to reach minimum requirement, alternatively seek alternative supply
