    IoT Developer Position

    Job Title: IoT Developer

    We are seeking a skilled IoT Developer to join our software company in the Northern Suburbs.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
    • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in IoT development is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in Linux operating system and its various distributions, as well as strong programming skills in Python, are essential.
    • Familiarity with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT and HTTP, and experience with IoT platforms and frameworks like MQTT broker implementations, AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT, are beneficial.
    • Knowledge of embedded systems development and Teltonika, as well as experience with microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS), are advantageous.
    • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and DHCP, and ability to troubleshoot network-related issues in an IoT context, are necessary.
    • Knowledge of IoT security best practices and experience implementing security measures in IoT applications and devices are required.
    • Familiarity with database systems and ability to design and implement data storage solutions for IoT devices are essential.
    • Understanding of various sensors and actuators commonly used in IoT applications and experience interfacing sensors and actuators with IoT devices are beneficial.
    • Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, and strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams are required.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as ability to troubleshoot and debug complex IoT systems, are necessary.
    • Experience in project management methodologies and tools, as well as ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently, are advantageous.
    • Implementing testing strategies for IoT applications, including unit testing and integration testing, is essential.
    • The ideal candidate must have their own transport.
