Description

Duties / Responsibilities:


  • Assisting the Group Health and Safety Manager with general SHEQ Admin.
  • Advising Group Health and Safety Manager of any environmental matters.
  • Investigate any environmental incidents.
  • Identify and coordinate any training that is required on Environment.
  • Ensure that Waste register is maintained.
  • Quarterly review of Environmental aspects and impacts
  • Ensure all PPE stock issued is recorded on issue registers.
  • Prepare Safety Files for clients as per client's specification.
  • Prepare and update Safety files for all internal teams.
  • Keep competency trainings and certification up to date. Arrange for trainings where required.
  • Ensure Toolbox talks are conducted and registers are kept on file.
  • Filing of SHE Inductions, SWP training, PJOs, Task based risk assessments conducted and number of near misses reported.
  • Submit all IOD documents to Workman's Compensation.
  • Ensure that first aid boxes and fire extinguishers are inspected monthly.
  • Conduct Monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Coordinate monthly internal audit.

Experience & Qualifications:


  • Grade 1
  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management/Science, Nature Conservation or any related Natural Sciences.
  • SAMTRAC, Incident Investigation and HIRA Certificates.
  • 12 years relevant experience (+3months served as Environmental Officer)
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 & ISO45001:2018
  • Implementation (
    advantage).
  • Computer Literate.
  • Valid Drivers' license.

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO OTHER PROVINCES
