Salary market related.

Position is live in & meals are provided when on duty.

5% provident fund is available (compulsory)

Company does provide medical aid at 50% of main member's premium (capped at Discovery Classic Saver contribution value)

Valid RSA ID is required.

Valid Driver's Licence & own vehicle

Proven track record within a luxury hotel/lodge environment as per attached spec


NOTE:
Company Retirement Age is 60


REQUIREMENTS:

3 to 5 years' experience in a fully operational F&B department in a

4- or 5-star Hotel/Lodge environment with previous exposure to

management responsibilities

Tertiary qualification will be beneficial

Matric

Good command of the English language

Basic Financial Understanding

Advanced understanding of cost of sales & profit margins

Working knowledge of stock controls

Banqueting & Conferencing Experience

Excellent "Attention to detail" awareness

Ability to organize and run promotions and events

Good Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

ADVANCED knowledge of POS, Stock & PMS systems

  • APEX/NEBULA & PlusPoint will be beneficial
Ability to write weekly and monthly reports

Excellent time management skills combined with a hands-on approach

Reliable, Ethical, Confidentiality driven, Motivated, Sales

Orientated, Honest, Passionate about F&B

Ability to manage a Food & Beverage Department as a business unit

Excellent Track Record with at least 2 years in each position

Well-spoken and presentable

industry (agents and other lodges)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Management (Training, Performance & Appraisals, Client

Service, Policies & Procedures, SOP's)

Development & Implementation of Food & Beverage Procedures

Develop & Implement marketing strategies where applicable

Able to achieve targets

Equipment and Stock control

Design, Implement and Manage Shift Schedules for staff

Maintain Food & Beverage budgets and Financial goals

Monitor operations and ensure compliance with health, safety and

hygiene industry standards

To ensure guests are greeted, checked in promptly and courteously

To ensure that check in procedures are strictly adhered to

To be readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints

To ensure that all charges are correctly entered on the guest's bill and that this is up to date at all times

To assist with luggage delivery or collection speedily when required

To ensure that enquiries, messages, etc. are dealt with courteously and efficiently

To ensure that all areas are clean and tidy at all times

To act as a Duty Manager when required

To attend management meetings when required

To circulate regularly throughout public areas maintaining a high

profile with guests and staff

Be able to work in a remote area
