Description

An industry-leading mining company in Gauteng is currently seeking the expertise of an experienced Rigger to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, and Company standards
Transporting of heavy and bulky loads including slinging work
Assisting with the recovery of broken down or redundant mining machinery and equipment from the mine face
Managing spare requirements of rigging equipment to ensure their availability.
Promoting and developing team effectiveness within the Mining Engineering section
Maintaining registers and records of all equipment as required by the Mine's applicable Codes of Practice and Standards

Requirements:

Grade 1
N3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
Rigger Trade Test Certificate

years of experience as a rigger, preferably within a mechanized mining environment
