Job Purpose:


Sales Manager is responsible for helping their reps meet sales target, meeting her on target, getting the team to hit target, forecasting sales and running sales reports, providing mentorship and training, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new salespeople, and more.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Gym Manager in the daytoday smooth running of Gym Clinic's facilities
  • Act as Duty Manager for the Gym, in the absence of the Gym Manager
  • Responsibility for legal compliance including Health and Safety.
  • Responsible for targeting improvements in service level delivery.
  • To ensure any potential hazards are reported to the Gym Manager
  • To arrange tours of the facilities and the "selling" of memberships
  • To organize and facilitate events to recruit new and lapsed members
  • Provide clients with superior services, products and guidance;
  • Handle associate grievances, complaints, and questions in a prompt professional manner. Involve Senior Management when necessary to handle sensitive situations and complaints from the staff or clients;
  • Direct, supervise and assist with event marketing, preparation and cleanup. Schedule events regularly to drive new memberships and build community awareness;
  • Build rapport and loyalty with clients and by facilitating frequent communication and providing opportunities for feedback;
  • Managing budgets, reaching targets, goals and the vision of the company;
  • Enhancing profitability by organizing and delivering an appropriate range of fitness activities and programmes to ensure the continuous growth of the company from monthtomonth;
  • Keeping statistical and financial records; and
  • Undertaking administrative tasks.

People Responsibility:


  • Lead the Sales Team and maintain effective communication.
  • Recognize and reward Sales Team for their performance, using positive leadership skills to develop an empowered team.
  • To Sales Team effectively, delegating and assigning tasks and developing staff to ensure a continuously high level of service.
  • Accountable for all people management issues within the team including sickness, absence, appraisals, attendance and any people management issues that may arise.
  • Ensure that the staff are adequately trained in all aspects of their work. Assist with the Training Needs Analysis for yourself and other members of the team when appropriate.
  • Assist with the development of Sales Team to achieve their personal and workplace aims.
  • Lead the Sales Department on all aspects of professional customer service by going the extra mile, being positive and demonstrating a 'can do' manner.
  • Lead Sales Team meetings and comms cells to ensure good communication with all team members.

- to review data, see what's relevant, draw meaningful conclusions, and find actionable takeaways. Without strong analytical skills, you might not be able to glean insights from all the data in front of you, which will preclude you from creating accurate sales forecasts for future sales periods.
