Maintenance Supervisor - Rustenburg - Orion Hotel Group

Description

We are seeking a competent Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at Safari Hotel and Convention Centre in Rustenburg, North-West Province. The successful candidate will plan and coordinate maintenance tasks, manage a team of maintenance staff, and ensure timely completion of all maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance tasks, including repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance.
• Manage a team of maintenance staff, assigning tasks, providing training and guidance, and evaluating performance.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed on schedule and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized system for tracking maintenance requests and work orders.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Monitor equipment and facilities to ensure efficient and safe operation.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and address them promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols for maintenance work.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• A relevant tertiary, technical, or vocational training is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for maintenance work.
