Logistics Associate
What this position is about - Purpose
Warehouse & Inventory Control Support, To manage and support the Inventory Control manager with all administrative functions linked to stock management.
Linked to but not limited to import shipment report and filing, daily stock on hand reporting and variance management, 3PL Inventory administration and overall functional administration - SAP, Purchase orders, Invoicing including weekly/monthly recons.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Global Logistics: Import, in transit shipment reporting. Daily Import shipment filing (Sea freight, Air freight when applicable). Liaise with RTT and Steinway to coordinate shipment receipts
- Invoicing: Purchase/Framework order creation for relevant suppliers. Invoice validation against set Postprocessing supplier invoices for payment. (Outbound clearing, Import clearing, Transportation & Warehousing). Address any billing errors and follow up with the global support team so that payments are processed on time
- Reporting: Daily Stock on hand reco (SAP vs. 3PL WMS reconciliation).
0008/0038 Weekly reporting:
manage stock rotation and liaise tele sales to sell out as needed. Recon by storage location.
GR/IR Report (Open POs and PO closure). Obtain approval and process a return order in SAP. Request release in SAP from Credit Control, Print, batch & file all Credit Notes. Address any variances between SAP & WMS on a daily basis. Daily update of the credit note report. Query tracking. Ensure all cross charges are performed & documents sent to RTT weekly for payment purposes
- Inventory: Daily update to Tele sales on stock availability, SKU changes on Order Exchange/Order Sheets. Branch stock order processing and adjustments.
Shelf life:
maintaining extensions in SAP, arranging samples with RTT for R&D control
Insurance claims:
Support with claim preparations, Process Write off's in SAP, maintain claim spreadsheet
Whom are we looking for - Requirements:
- Logistics/Warehousing Diploma; Customs and Excise tax qualification; Matric
- 23 years experience in a similar field (preferred).Inbound & Outbound logistics knowledge
- English Computer literacy
- MS Office, Advanced Excel & SAP
