Description

General Manager - Riviera

  • Managing the daytoday operations of the resort
  • Acts as Resort public relations officer and promotes the property within the hotel industry, local community and trade associations
  • Assign duties to the HOD's and observes performance to ensure adherence to the Resort policies and established operating procedures
  • Recruitment and selection of Resort staff
  • All duties associated with the management and control of the assets of the resort
  • Management of food outlets, services, resorts or any other activities carried out by First Resorts
  • The Management of the performance of all staff and contract personnel employed at the resort
  • Ensuring that all policies and standards set by the Management Agent of the employer are always strictly adhered to, with particular reference to the ongoing maintenance of all buildings, equipment and furnishing, including the provision of guest's services, financial controls and administration
  • Monitor guest feedback on Social Media such as Trip Advisor, Google and Hotel surveys
  • Maintain accurate records including cash flow sheets, guest floor limit, AR ageing reports, direct billing etc.
  • Initiate internal audits and implement continuous improvement strategies
  • Receives and resolve guest complaints and service recovery process
  • Ensuring that all staff and contract personnel employed at the resort are at all times properly and adequately trained and fully conversant with all aspects of the duties they are required to perform
  • The implementation and management of guest services, entertainment programs and other guest facilities to the standards determined by the employer from time to time
  • The implementation of all systems, facilities and structures as determined by the employer from time to time
  • The management and reporting on all such areas as determined by the Employer's policy and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management
  • Minimum 3 Years' experience in Hotel/Resort Management
  • Experience in financials
  • Fully computer literate
  • Experience working on Micros and Opera

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sea Point,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
