  • We are seeking an experienced

Essential Requirements

  • Installing and testing antenna systems to ensure optimal signal transmission.
  • Configuring and maintaining VHF-UHF radio equipment, such as base stations, mobile units, and transmitters.
  • Conducting regular maintenance and inspections of radio communication systems to ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Diagnosing and repairing problems with radio communication systems, including fixing faults in wiring, circuit boards, and other electrical components.
  • Conducting performance tests and analyzing results to determine system performance and optimize signal strength.
  • Documenting system configurations and maintenance activities and keeping accurate records of equipment inventory.
  • Staying uptodate with industry advancements and new technologies, and ensuring that equipment and systems meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Interacting with clients and stakeholders and providing technical support as needed.
  • Sales skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships with customers, and a deep understanding of the sales process.
  • Customer service: Knowledge of how to provide excellent customer service, including understanding customer needs, providing support, and resolving problems.

Essential Knowledge

  • Understanding of RF & Cellular communication
  • Knowledge of networks and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of alarm communication technology in the security industry.
  • Knowledge of the operations within the security industry.
  • Sales capabilities to upsell the RDC product range.
  • Knowledge and ability to use technical instrumentation, signal generator, SWR watt meter, oscilloscope, multimeter, Marconi radio communication tester and power supplies.

Required Experience

  • Degree or completed coursework in engineering or electronics.
  • Or a Relevant technical qualification certificate.
  • Some experience of direct customer interaction.
  • Some experience with alarm control panels on a senior technician level.
  • Good communication skills in English, Afrikaans. Additionally French and/or Portuguese.
  • Driver's license and own car.

Key Skills

  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Detailoriented and organized.
  • Excellent problemsolving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic circuits.
