Dialysis Practitioner - Soweto, South Africa - Ngwanya Capital

Description

Provide direct and individualized care to patients who are in varying levels of treatment for kidney problems, referring patients to dieticians, or vascular access centers as required, evaluating patients' lab results, and answering patients' questions regarding dialysis treatments.

Responsibilities
Perform appropriate physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests as well as lab values
Monitor patients during dialysis treatment to identify any adverse reactions
Ensure that haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered to patients correctly
Maintain medical inventory and Perform medication reconciliation and management
Prepare and update nursing care plans
Work closely with team members and support acute services for admitted patients
Educate patients on dialysis treatment options and kidney disease management


QualificationsDiploma/ Degree in Nursing :
Nephrology or similar qualification


ExperienceProven working experience as a dialysis Nurse
