    Description

    Role Summary

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the MAST Remote Management System (RMS), encompassing site power supply, generation, storage, and associated solution requirements. They will lead and realize Power-as-a-Service (PaaS) energy performance and optimization strategies, focusing on technical solution gap analysis and upgrade solutions, as well as solution optimization and site power integration and maintenance planning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement site-specific power strategies based on diverse customer requirements and business needs.
    • Collaborate with operations and maintenance partners to identify effective techniques and strategies for realizing optimal power provision capabilities at each site.
    • Align technical and commercial models to minimize the total cost impact of network management for MAST, incorporating operational and maintenance requirements while delivering a profitable business case.

    Thought Leadership

    • Engage with the Power team, external stakeholders, and operations and maintenance support partners to develop innovative site-specific power design and optimization solutions.
    • Work with suppliers to identify and implement best-in-class solutions.

    Required Competencies

    • Extensive knowledge of existing, emerging, and new Power/Energy technologies.
    • Proven experience across multiple delivery areas and vendors, coupled with strong technical problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling the simplification of complex technical concepts and persuasive ability to secure support for principles, standards, and change.
    • Strong relationship-building, teamwork, and collaboration skills to facilitate effective support and guidance across various programs.
    • Proven track record in delivering key outputs and disciplines, along with the ability to apply technical knowledge in analyzing accurate comparisons and reviews of solution designs and developing realistic return on investment operational financial models.
    • Effective supplier and contract management, including the development and design of structures to monitor, evaluate, and manage supplier solutions, contractors, and third-party performance against contracted scope of work.
    • Responsibility for formulating and managing all power-related operational elements, encompassing CAPEX and OPEX requirements.
    • Leadership in developing dashboards to provide management visibility into site-specific power performance and optimization requirements.
    • Overseeing the design of reports to identify technical solutions that drive better financial management and improve profitability on deployed solutions.
    • Compliance management, including supporting MAST preparation for ISO compliance and certification.
    • Designing solutions to continuously improve compliance management within MAST and its operations and maintenance partners.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Must possess relevant technical or professional qualifications, such as a 3-year related electrical qualification (e.g., diploma or bachelor's degree) registered as a master electrician with the department of labor.
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on working experience within the telecommunications sector, with essential working knowledge of multitenant site power operations.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience, preferably within a research and development team, able to design, evaluate, and implement different power solutions.

    Performance Indicators

    • A fully functional end-to-end power system delivering optimized results, measured by the RMS.
    • An optimized Power P&L, meeting or exceeding set and agreed targets.
