    Accountant Role

    We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to fill an available position with our East London based client.

    Key Skills and Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
    2. A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial accounting experience is required.
    3. Familiarity with Sage/Accpac accounting software is highly beneficial.
    4. The ability to converse in both English and Afrikaans is essential.

    About the Position:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and performing other accounting-related tasks. They will also be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide financial analysis and reporting as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
    • Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards.
    • Provide financial analysis and reporting as needed, including budgeting and forecasting.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial accounting experience.
    • Familiarity with Sage/Accpac accounting software.
    • Ability to converse in both English and Afrikaans.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
