CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
_
The Operations Manager will be responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the
Company's strategic and operational targets and overall business objectives. The role will
ensure a low-cost, efficient production environment is maintained and optimal standards of
service are met at all times within the specified timeframes.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

_:

  • Analyses productivity, quality and efficiency to ensure that a lowcost, efficient production
environment is maintained

  • Ensure production output is aligned with production schedules to meet customer
requirements

  • Oversee the operations and the management of all relevant departments including the
management of all labour resources, equipment and relevant production flow processes

  • Identify gaps between current manufacturing practices and develop corrective strategies
to drive business improvement

  • Ensure effective management of all operational costs as per budget
  • Ensure the plant operates within the required environmental guidelines and regulations
  • Implement and sustain the principles of lean manufacturing

_QUALIFICATIONS /


EXPERIENCE:

_:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with at least years experience in a similar role with a
medium to large organisation with experience in commercial management, financial
analysis and business processes reporting and documenting

  • Experience in analyzing and reengineering operations and procedures, formulating policy
and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures

  • Technical knowledge of product in relation to design and manufacturing
  • Advanced computer skills
